Staff at Forrestdale Veterinary Hospital

We have a core group of staff members who live up to our motto of Care, Compassion and Excellence in everything they do.

Dr Chelsea Melvin 

Chelsea graduated from Murdoch University and has worked in Small Animal Practice around Perth. Growing up on a farm in the Wheatbelt has meant from a young age Chelsea has loved all animals but has a special spot for Kelpies. Her particular interests lie in medicine as she enjoys the challenge of working up cases. In her spare time, she enjoys following sports and spending time with her own kelpie dog Max.

Dr Meg Green

After graduating from Murdoch University in 2010, Meg worked in mixed practice in country Western Australia for one year before joining our team at the end of 2010. Meg has developed a strong passion for small animal medicine and surgery, and in 2018 she completed a Master of Veterinary Studies (Small Animal Practice) and has her membership in Small Animal Medicine.

Dr Sarah Mitchell

Sarah has been in practice for over 29 years – she brings an extensive range of skills, qualifications and experience having worked in general practice, emergency practice and in a specialist practice where she was in the Oncology department for many years. Sarah excels at medical and surgical cases.

Dr Samantha Dinnie

Samantha has been in practice for over three years’ joining us in 2024. Originally from Scotland where she worked in mixed and small animal practice Sam has settled into Perth after a period of travel.

Dr Richard Loi 

Richard has been in practice for over 5 years and has recently moves to Perth from Melbourne where he worked in a variety of small animal and emergency practice where he has gained invaluable experience.

Dr Nev Robertson

Nev is one of the partners at Forrestdale Veterinary Hospital and you will see him working here periodically. Nev’s main interests are surgery and small animal medicine. Nev graduated from Sydney University in 1985 and has worked in small animal practice in WA, Sydney, Queensland and the UK. He completed an anaesthesia internship at Murdoch University and holds a Master of Veterinary Studies degree. He owns a beautiful Golden Retriever named Maggie.

Dr Alan Wade

Alan is one of the partners at Forrestdale Veterinary Hospital and works at Forrestdale periodically. Alan graduated from Murdoch University in 1987 and has worked in many busy practices in the UK and Perth. He has a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. Alan owns a beautiful Border Terrier named Charli and a cat called Tom.
